The dictionaries and vocabulary packages of the app are freely licensed and available here as files to download: as SQLite databases and JSON files, with all details about sources, changes and license.
In short: The data comes from Wiktionary and UniMorph and is licensed under CC BY-SA 4.0. You may copy, change and share it, commercially too – if you name the sources, indicate changes and share the result under the same terms. The details are below under License and attribution.
A dictionary pack is a ZIP file with an SQLite 3 database. It contains the words (lemmas) of a language with word class, gender and every word form, as well as translations into other languages. These are exactly the files the app downloads. Spanish and French are in preparation.
Figures as of: 2026-10-26. The files are renewed from time to time; the version is in the database (table pack_info) and in the package list index.json.
A vocabulary package is a JSON file with words for a level or topic: word, translation(s), word class, gender, example sentence with translation and forms. The example sentences and part of the translations were created with the help of AI services and reviewed. The same license applies to the packages as to the dictionary packs.

The list of all packages is in vocab-packages/index.json. As of 2026-10-26.
Each dictionary pack is an SQLite 3 file (schema version 1). You can open it with any SQLite tool, for example sqlite3 on the command line.
| Table | Content |
|---|---|
| pack_info | Keys and values about the pack: pack_code, language_code, version, exported_at, schema_version. |
| lemma | The words in base form: language, spelling (lemma, normalized_lemma), word class (morph_type: n noun, v verb, a adjective, d adverb, p pronoun, phrase expression …), gender and details about the forms (unchangeable, singular/plural only, comparison). |
| form | All word forms of a word (surface) with person, number, tense, mood, voice, case, gender, degree and further features. |
| lemma_translation | Translations of a word into other languages with rank, note, origin (source_type: e.g. wiktionary-kaikki, manual, ai-generated) and field. |
| category | Fields with names in German, English, Spanish, French and Greek. |
| source, license, form_source | Where a form comes from: source, license and a reference to the entry of the source. So you can trace each form back to its source. |
The database is built for use in the app and changes with it; later versions may add tables or columns. For your own programs rely on pack_info.schema_version and not on a certain number of columns.
